Preparing your five rounds…
A free size guessing game for curious minds. No account needed.
How to play
- Check the reference. Read the object's measurement and the dimension you are comparing, such as height or length.
- Guess the size. Move the slider or use Smaller and Larger until the other object looks right beside it.
- Lock it in. Reveal the true scale, see your score, and learn which measurement the answer uses.
- Finish five rounds. See your total out of 500, then share the challenge or start another game.
How scoring works
Closer size estimates earn more points. A guess that is twice the true size or half the true size earns 50 points. A very close match earns 100. Each round is worth up to 100 points, giving you a total of up to 500 across five rounds.
Daily and Unlimited
Daily: five shared rounds, changing at 00:00 UTC. Your first completed score is saved in this browser when storage is available; replays keep it intact.
Unlimited: a fresh five-round game whenever you like. Share a link to turn your game into a challenge for a friend.
Compare everyday objects, aircraft, landmarks and planets. Every revealed answer links to its measurement source.
What exactly are you comparing?
Each round compares one named dimension: length, width, height or diameter. Read that label before estimating.
For example, the iPhone 16 uses the long edge of its body, not the screen diagonal. The Statue of Liberty includes its pedestal. Planet comparisons use equatorial diameter; Saturn's rings are excluded. Hope the blue whale and SUE the Tyrannosaurus rex refer to named museum specimens, not average animals.
Follow the measurement marks on the illustrations. The artwork simplifies other details, so judging the total area of a shape can be misleading.
Measurements and sources
Our question data uses published measurements with a specific model, specimen or definition. Sources include Apple's iPhone specifications, National Park Service statue statistics, NASA's planet sizes, Airbus A380 dimensions (PDF), and museum records for Hope and SUE.
After each reveal, open the source links to check both objects. Approximate measurements are labelled where needed. The illustrations help you compare the stated dimension; they are not engineering drawings.
Controls and display options
Use the slider or the Smaller and Larger buttons to adjust your estimate. With the slider focused, use the arrow keys for finer changes.
The scene automatically fits the illustrations into the available space. Both objects share the same scale, even when the view zooms to fit them. Judge how the two marked dimensions compare with each other, not their absolute size on your screen.
Switch between Metric and Imperial whenever you prefer. This changes the displayed units, not the answer or your score. Your estimate stays editable until you select Lock in.
Size guessing game FAQ
What is a size comparison game?
It is a visual puzzle about how big things are in real life. You adjust one object beside a reference and try to match their true proportions.
How do I play this guess the size game?
Check the reference measurement, resize the other object with the slider or buttons, and select Lock in. The game then reveals the true size and your score.
What is the difference between Daily and Unlimited?
Daily gives everyone the same five rounds for the UTC date. Unlimited starts a new five-round game each time you play again.
Can I send a friend the same challenge?
Yes. Share your daily result or an Unlimited game to send a link to the same five rounds. Your friend plays with their own guesses and score.
Where do the sizes come from?
Each revealed answer links to its measurement source and names the dimension used. See Measurements and sources for examples.
Do I need an account, and is my progress saved?
No account is needed. Your progress and Unlimited best score are saved in this browser when local storage is available. They do not automatically follow you to another device. Clearing browser storage removes them. We keep up to 90 daily records.
