In case you haven't figured it out - this is not a matchmaking website.

You will not meet real people here. We don't have any fancy database algorithms to help you find God's will for your life. And we're not going to ask for your credit card.

If that's what you're looking for, there are plenty of sites out there. I know, because when I set this website up, that's all I could find on the web for singles. It's a sad reflection of the way the church treats people who are single. Singleness is seen as a problem, not a blessing. Unless you get married and have kids, you can't possibly be living God's will. Hence, churches spend a small fortune on their children's programs and next to nothing on singles.

Sadly, this mentality has had an impact on single Christians. It's bad enough going through those lonely nights when all your friends are out on dates and you're home alone. When your parents, your pastor, and those nosy church ladies pile on, you start to question whether you are in God's will!

The truth is, singleness is a blessing. It's a season in life God gives us for total devotion to him. It's a chance to get to know who God is and who you are - a valuable thing to know, because it's no fun changing who you are to try to suit someone else in the pursuit of romance.

But singleness is not just a time of self-discovery. It's a time to begin a lifetime of service to the Lord. In 1 Corinthians 6:32-34, Paul writes:

But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and his interests are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband.

Long story short: you'll never be more free to travel, to work late nights, and to go the extra mile in service to God, your church, and your community. This is the time to put your God-given talents to work. You dont have to travel around the world to do it either. Find someone in your neighborhood, on your block, or in your building who has a need and meet it!

There's an old saying among single people that there are 6 billion people in the world, half of them male and half of them female. That means there are 3 billion chances for you to find someone to love you.

Allow me to shift that paradigm for you: there are six billion people in the world, and only one of you. That leaves 5,999,999,999 people you can love, today, in the name of Jesus.

So enjoy our website, and when you leave our site, please pass it along and share it with your Facebook friends. But when you're done surfing, turn off the computer, and pray for God to open your eyes to the opportunities around you. Single or married, God wants all of us to be concerned with the people around us. He wants us to share love with others, and to share Him with those who have yet to meet Him.
